The 2nd International Poster Competition “Icons of Freedom. TRUTH” – Iłża 2026 is an international poster competition organized by the District Institute of Culture (PIK) in Iłża, Poland, inviting designers, artists, and students from around the world to explore the universal values of Truth, Justice, Respect, and Freedom through visual communication. Inspired by the legacy of Father Roman Kotlarz and the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Radom Protests, the competition encourages participants to reflect on individuals and ideas that embody truth and moral courage.
Selected works are presented in a public open-air exhibition along Żeromskiego Street in Radom, transforming the city’s promenade into an outdoor gallery featuring nearly 400 posters from 36 countries. The competition will conclude with the official jury awards and the post-competition exhibition at Galeria na Piętrze in Iłża, highlighting the enduring power of poster design to foster dialogue, preserve cultural memory, and promote universal human values.
