横弹七弦，竖吹尺八，故名横七竖八。由古琴艺术家曾小刚与尺八艺术家李嘉征联袂，透过即兴之音，织就隐密而深邃的音律空间。

大音希声，大象无形。唱片设计以汉字为原点，透过繁简疏密的版式，体现古琴与尺八即兴的空灵之音。辅以黑纸烫黑印银等工艺，呈现清幽静谧的独特氛围。

Playing the guqin with seven strings horizontally and the shakuhachi vertically, hence the name 'Horizontal Seven, Vertical Eight.' Guqin artist Zeng Xiaogang and shakuhachi artist Li Jiazheng combine their talents to craft an evocative soundscape of unparalleled beauty, filled with mystery and depth, through their improvisational music.

Great sounds are silent, great images are invisible. The album design draws inspiration from Chinese characters, embodying the ethereal, improvisational sounds of the guqin and shakuhachi through a combination of simple and sparse layouts. The use of black paper, hot-stamped silver, and other techniques creates a unique atmosphere of tranquility and serenity.
