“Why do we need education? What do we need art? ” – is the title of an international exhibition, which will be available for viewing in the RE Gallery on the ground floor of the Rectorate from February 18th. The works of 58 artists from all over the world will be presented there.

The latest exhibition is inspired by two title questions: What do we need science? What do we need art?

Science and art are two ways of seeing the world – notes the organizer and curator of the exhibition Dr. Piotr Florianowicz from the Department of Graphic Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts UMK. – Both ask questions and both look for answers – each in their own language. Together they create a meeting space where experience meets feeling. Their paths differ, but the goal remains the same: to bring them closer to meaning. Artists in their posters engage in dialogue with them – sometimes seriously, sometimes poetically or upside down – creating a meeting of perspectives from different parts of the world: from Japan, China and Taiwan, to Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Iran, the United States and Mexico, to Portugal, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Belarus.
